CALL FOR PAPERS

4th International Naval Architecture and Maritime Symposium (INT-NAM 2023) will be held by Yildiz Technical University Naval Architecture and Maritime Faculty on October 11-13, 2023 in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Oceans cover three-quarters of the Earth’s surface, contain 97% of the Earth’s water, and represent 99% of the living space on the planet by volume. UN Sustainable Development Goal 14 addresses the conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas, and marine resources. The oceans drive global systems that make the Earth habitable for humankind. Our rainwater, drinking water, weather, climate, and coastlines as well as much of our food, and even the oxygen in the air we breathe are all ultimately provided and regulated by the sea, with over three billion people depending on marine and coastal biodiversity for their livelihoods.

The issues regarding safeguarding oceans for the future involve taking on great responsibilities that require huge efforts toward sustainable socioecological and technical innovation with the inherent support of nature-based solutions.

With the theme of “Sustainable Innovation & Nature-Based Solutions”, INT-NAM 2023 brings together a broad spectrum of representatives of the maritime industry through the involvement of emerging innovative and technological enterprises, public bodies, civil society, academia, and stakeholders.
